After going to a large church of about 1.500 people with Jonathan on Sunday and being lost in the crowd I am all the more excited to get into house church when we move to Chicago. It is so much more relational and feels so much more like what the church was meant to be. I love going to the smaller church we go to at school, but even there we have had a hard time connecting, even though we can see how much that church loves God. I am just ready for that deep personal church relationship that lives like a family and sees every person.
"The Christian story is precisely the story of one grand miracle, the Christian assertion being that what is beyond all space and time, what is uncreated, eternal, came into nature, into human nature, descended into His own universe, and rose again, bringing nature up with Him. It is precisely one great miracle. If you take that away there is nothing specifically Christian left."
C. S. Lewis
I find myself always identifying with everything I have ever read from Lewis. He was a very wise man, he had the way of a prophet. I need to read more of his books.
Definitely following this. I was thinking about what it would be like if it was MY boyfriend cooking for a blog.. it’d just be a blog of pictures of poptarts.Hahaha that’s so true! It’d be funny though! Maybe you should do one. Tumblr likes irony, you’d probably get a lot of followers… and it would make me laugh.
